If AnimeChords has helped you in any way, why not consider a donation?

This site provides budding (or experienced) anime musicians with resources needed to play their favorite anime tunes on piano, guitar, or etc, without having to buy score sheets or learn how to read music notes. There are tabs or notations for many popular anime themes (and some related songs), links to various anime music sites along with other information that you might need for your playing.

Enter new staffer!

25 July 2007, 11:46 PM

And here's the big announcement!

I know the updates were getting more sporadic and many of you were losing interest in the site, since I didn't put up notations for any new songs. Now, I've finally given up my stubborn ego and gotten help.

That's right - AnimeChords now has a new transcriber, Jelmer Kosters. *cheer*

You can read more about him in the About page (bet you didn't know there was a link at the bottom), but as a summary, Jelmer is supposed to be the active transcriber now, and he will be attempting more of the newer anime themes and the occasional guitar tab as he feels like it. Yes, finally someone who has the patience to do them.

As a starter, here's the guitar tab (!) he did for:
Full Metal Panic - Tomorrow.

And that's not all...

AnimeChords is now looking for more help! Yes, we (or rather, I) need you! If you're interested in becoming a regular transcriber/staffer for the site, or have something you can contribute on a regular basis, click here for more details. It's your chance to be part of the operation to inject new life into this danged website.

So there. Expect more frequent updates now that I have a new slave staffer working on stuff (and hopefully I'll find one or two more). If he doesn't do his work ... feel free to bug him, 'k?

Finally, something is about to happen.

Big announcement coming very, very soon. In case you're curious, it does have something to do with new notations, along with some major changes.

Until then, Hail Megatron.

CATS: How are you gentlemen.

Just finished my final semester. Yes, that's it - I'm done and graduating in a month. Wheeeeeeee. So now you know why the site's been omgded!!11!!1 for a few months. I'm not saying that I'll suddenly be updating every week or something like that, but not having to study for exams does help with the updating schedule.

To start this update off, I'll be doing a couple of songs every other day, so I'll just edit this post with the list of the latest songs for the moment. Keep checking every so often if you're, like, dying for something new. Yes, the two or three of you who use this site. :P

22/5
- .hack//Roots - Silly-Go-Round / FictionJunction YUUKA
- Air - Tori no Uta / Lia

February Update

9 February 2007, 10:33 PM

I managed to find time to do a couple of songs, at least to make it look like I'm still keeping the site active. Wait a sec, what am I saying? I *am* keeping the site active. Dang.

Honey and Clover - August Serenade
R.O.D. -The TV- - Confidence
Wolf's Rain - Stray

Spring Cleaning

22 January 2007, 6:25 PM

I'm currently working on fixing parts of the site that broke (like the RSS feed), removing pages elements that aren't needed, cleaning up the CSS stylesheet and so on. I've always been a fan of WebPagesThatSuck but haven't had enough time to tweak my site to make it suck less (discovered his book after making this site) so ... if you notice anything wrong with the site (other than that it sucks and I'm an arrogant bastard - yes, I know that already) like boxes not showing up or page elements missing or out of place, please let me know.

For the most part, I'll be sacrificing some stylistic touches for accessibility and ease-of-use, which is always a plus for some web users. I've received quite a few emails from people telling me they like the simple design, so I'm going to stick with this as long as I can.

Yes, I know the title banner doesn't extend to the end at resolutions above 1024x768. I'll fix that after I can find my Photoshop CD again.
